We're so glad you found us!

We are a social organization of active military, veterans, dependents and civilians, in the Fayetteville and Sandhills area of NC providing atheists, agnostics, freethinkers and secular humanists with opportunities to connect with like-minded people in the Fort Liberty area, and have a lot of fun while we build our interNOfaith community.

We welcome you and your entire family, whether you just want to enjoy our many social activities or you are ready to take a leadership role. Our social activities include Memorial Day Cookout, Solstice Supper, Secular Suppers and when there is interest, Critical Drinking. Other activities as members chose to participate in.

Our Facebook Discussion Group, an open, public group for discussions by all members. Applicants are screened to prevent spamming and trolls.

We respect your privacy, so if you wish to participate in our group without coming out publicly, we will do everything we can to abide by your wishes.

MASH Ft. Liberty is always welcoming active members, the group is what you help make it. So let's get active!

Military Association of Atheists & Freethinkers

MASH Ft. Liberty is a member of The Military Association of Atheists & Freethinkers (MAAF). MAAF is a community for atheists and humanists in the military. MAAF connects military members from around the world with each other and with local organizations. In addition to their community services, they take action to educate and train both the military and civilian community about atheism in the military and the issues that face us.

MAAF is open to everyone including civilians regardless of military status. MAAF focuses on the military, but we can not function without the support of civilians. Civilians and civilian groups also have a great opportunity to reach out through MAAF to those who serve. We especially encourage those DoD Civilians that work so closely with us to join.

Report a church/state violation to the Freedom From Religion Foundation

FFRF, is a small nonprofit, receives thousands of requests a year to help end state/church entanglements. Due to the growing number of reported violations — and the fact that court precedent is often hostile to the constitutional principle of state/church separation — FFRF cannot always take action or end a specific violation. They will assess your request, and do their best under these constraints.

FFRF does not assist with:

  • Criminal cases
  • Divorce, custody, or family law
  • Discrimination/harassment by private employers
  • Private discrimination

Before you submit a complaint, please review their  Frequently Asked Questions, which contains detailed information on some of the most common complaints and questions they receive.
